What you’ll do:

Position Overview:
Eaton’s Residential Wiring Device division is currently seeking a Firmware Engineering Intern.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.15 - $27.69 per hour.

The Firmware Engineering Co-Op will perform electronic circuit design, both analog and digital for produce related to our Assemblies and Residential Solutions Division.

In this function you will: 
•    Contribute to firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers.
•    Support software development using code repositories, code reviews, build servers, and agile methods. 
•    Stay abreast of market trends and emerging technologies globally, with a particular emphasis on embedded and connected systems, and evaluate their potential impact on Eaton business.
•    Support the Research and develop business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace.
•    Support the enhancement of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans.
•    Follow Eaton’s interests on councils and committees tasked with developing codes and standards for emerging technologies in which Eaton is investing.
•    Support and perform technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers.
•    Support product certification activities - UL/CSA.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
•    Actively enrolled or received a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar careers from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2027.
•    Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
•    Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months' work experience completed at the time of this application.
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
•    Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA.
