THE ROLE:
Oshkosh Corporation Supplier Performance Engineering Internship is constructed for the student seeking an opportunity to gain practical experience working on real world technical solutions with Suppliers from Oshkosh’s extensive supply chain. The successful candidate will learn Supplier Performance Engineering and Global Procurement and Supply Chain (GPSC) industry best practices, including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Interns will be mentored in a highly collaborative environment with a professional global engineering team and have daily responsibilities as well as a defined developmental project for the length of the internship.
This is an onsite summer internship located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
THE IMPACT
1. Provide support to full-time Supplier Quality Engineers in projects including:
Containment & Recovery: 8D, Containment Level 1 & 2 Methodologies
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP/PPAP):
Six Sigma/Process Development
2. Assist in evaluating capabilities of potential new suppliers and continually improving existing suppliers with the Oshkosh Corporation Supplier Quality Audit.
3. Develop or improve internal tools and processes for use within the Supplier Quality group or Global Procurement and Supply Chain (GPSC) organization.
4.Participate as a member of the Global Supplier Quality Council.
WHAT YOU NEED
Student in a sophomore standing or greater working towards a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain/operations management, economics, industrial engineering, engineering adjacent or related field.
Work full time during summer.
Ability to travel 33% of the time or more, including internationally if needed.
Communicate technical information to others, including large groups.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or Quick Response Manufacturing concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Pay Range:
$29,700.00 - $44,700.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
