Your Impact

As a Store Operations Sales Floor Intern, you’ll support the team responsible for enhancing the in-store experience for both customers and associates. You’ll work cross-functionally with leaders in Merchandising, Store Support, and Field Operations to help optimize sales floor processes, improve execution standards, and drive operational consistency across Lowe’s 1,700+ stores. From pilot testing new sales floor strategies to gathering feedback from store teams, your work will contribute to creating a more efficient, intuitive, and customer-focused shopping experience.

Our 10-week summer internship program (May 26th – July 31st, 2026) immerses you in real-world retail operations. Do Your Best Work in Mooresville

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

  • Analyze in-store processes related to customer service, inventory availability, and product placement on the sales floor.

  • Assist with pilot programs and initiatives focused on enhancing sales floor productivity and associate task management.

  • Help develop job aids, training materials, and process documentation to support field execution.

  • Collaborate with teams across Merchandising, Operations, and Learning & Development to roll out new tools and best practices.

  • Learn how operational excellence translates to increased customer satisfaction and sales conversion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail Management, Operations, or a related field.

  • Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Interest in retail operations, customer experience, or field support.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is a plus.
