Location
This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week.
About the Team
The UX team at Kinaxis is transforming the user experience of our core product, Maestro. You’ll be integrated right into the UX team and treated like a permanent employee. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, user researchers and other designers on exciting and challenging design projects. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment, learn new skills and gain valuable real-world experience.
This is a full-time, 12-month position, starting January 2026.
To be eligible for a Co-op or Intern position at Kinaxis, you must either be currently enrolled in full-time education or, if you are a recent/upcoming graduate, your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.
What you will do
- Partner with product, engineering, research, and go-to-market teams to define and build new tools and experiences from the ground up.
- Lead at least one initiative and be the go-to person for design tasks, questions and feedback.
- Help prototype functional UI wireframes, concept mock-ups and final, pixel-perfect designs.
- Conduct lean UX research to support your design decisions.
- Contribute to Kinaxis comprehensive design system PARCEL.
- Contribute to a high-functioning, collaborative design culture that values speed and craftsmanship.
What we are looking for
- You have an education in Human Computer Interaction, User Interface Design, Industrial Design, or equivalent experience with a focus on software products.
- Some design experience, with a portfolio of projects that showcase your design process and skills.
- A creative mindset and a passion for designing modern, high-quality solutions with the help of modern design tools and AI on your side.
