Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineering co-op to join our Headquarters System Engineering team working on the Land Command Support System (LCSS). LCSS provides the Canadian Armed Forces with the highly integrated command and control communications system they need. A highly integrated tactical system composed of communication, networking and information management sub-systems, LCSS is part of every Canadian Army vehicle, weapon platform and headquarters; comprising hardware, firmware and software..
As a Systems Engineering co-op on the LCSS team, you can expect to:
- Perform development of system architecture and requirements;
- Support Metrics development and presentation;
- Participate in systems and software design, use cases, and trade studies;
- Execute written test plans and test procedures;
- Identify system defects, resolve issues and verify solutions have been correctly implemented;
- Participate in an Agile team;
- Document the analysis, design and test in accordance with development standards.
Qualifications
Essential
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or an applicable scientific discipline.
Assets
- Experience with/in the following:
- Modelling diagrams and modelling software applications.
- Technical document writing.

It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance. Applicants may be required to meet additional security requirements in order to gain access to technical data, classified areas or information that is subject to international regulations. You must be eligible to work in Canada.
