The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 - June 2026, located in Orlando, FL.

What You Will Do

The Art Studio Team is a collection of outstanding Visual Storytellers who are responsible for the development of magical scenic designs/concept art, and renderings/scenic treatments/logos/graphics/3D modeling that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property, and on-board the Disney Cruise Line. We are looking for an individual with a positive personality, an innovative mindset, and a fervor for Disney quality and Magical creativity. We are seeking a motivated individual who will ensure that Disney standards are consistently reflected in all design & technical materials.

  • Demonstrating knowledge of basic design, including but not limited to hand illustration as well as digital painting, computer graphics, and theatre/themed entertainment/production design

  • Assisting with design research

  • Collaborating as part of a team on at least one project from blue sky to completion

  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Participating in appropriate Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop is a must

  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment, such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking

  • Knowledge of the Live Entertainment & Theme Park industry

  • Gaining trust through motivation and communication

  • Balancing conflicting priorities with the ability to meet demanding targeted dates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with 3D modeling/sculpting software Z-Brush/Maya/ Blender/Revit/Rhino/ SketchUp/AutoCAD/Vectorworks

    Education

    • Junior or Senior year preferred

    • Major or previous coursework in Graphic Design, Concept Art, Fine Art, Illustration, Scenic Design, Art Direction, Themed Entertainment Design, Architecture, or a related major preferred

    Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

    Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

    • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

    • Be at least 18 years of age

    • Possess unrestricted work authorization

    • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program

    Additional Information

    • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines

    • Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week

    • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work  

    • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

    • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in Florida

    The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $18.75 per hour.
