Position Overview

The Design Enablement team inGET XD works horizontally across design, product management, and engineering teams to ensure that seamless, on-brand, and highly usable experiences are easy to design and build. We do this by providing systems, guidance, governance, and project-level work.

As a Visual DesignInternyou will audit, enhance and expand an existing design system, focusing on scalability, usability and consistency. The project will result in updated design guidelines, a refreshed component library, and a proposal for continuous improvement to sustain the design system over time. The intern will collaborate with various teams, conduct usability tests, and ensure smooth design-to-development handoffs. 

Responsibilities

  • Auditing existing design system of component, patterns and templates

  • With guidance from leadership and data from the wider organization, identifying opportunities for enhancements or refinements to the system

  • Proposed changes and have these validated by visual design, content design, and engineering

  • Document and deliver updates and improvements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2027

  • Familiarity with design systems

  • Interest in applying your design, communication, or business process education to our real-worldstrategy and execution

  • Curiosity about multidisciplinary work, openness and eagerness to collaborate with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity working with Figma design application

  • Portfolio of visual work

About the US Intern Program 

The 2026 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

  • $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
  • $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
  • $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
