We are seeking to fill a actuarial student co-op roles in our downtown Toronto location. Start and end time of this opportunity are flexible but will ideally encompass a minimum of 4 consecutive months from January – April 2026.
The Actuarial Student Co-op role will focus on one of our various available roles which include:
1. Experience Analysis
2. EBS Reporting
3. CFT/Hedging
These roles will have the opportunity to work with various departments across the organization.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual experience analysis process, including gathering of data, updating excel model inputs, compiling output, and summarizing results in presentable format for senior and executive management.
  • Assist with the production and reporting of Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet (EBS) results.
  • Assist with the daily/weekly derivative collateral process.
  • Assist with monthly collateral deal calculations.
  • Contribute to enhancing documentation across all business, including company memos and excel tables.
  • Ensure proper controls are built and completed to maintain a strong control environment.
  • Work with other team members and aid in ad hoc projects as needed. ​


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Pursuit of a four-year degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written English language skills required.
  • Commitment to actuarial exam progress.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) required.
  • Experience with manipulation and analysis of large data sets preferred.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, SAS, and PowerQuery a bonus.
