Santander US Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is looking for the best talent to support our growth ambition and become future leaders through our 2026 Investment Banking Sophomore Summer Analyst Program.

We are a division of dynamic experts that will provide you with support from some of the most passionate and experienced colleagues in the industry; all while developing the skills, knowledge, and leadership experience you will need to gain experience both professionally and personally.

What you will gain from this experience

Our Investment Banking Sophomore Summer Analyst Program, beginning in June 2026, provides comprehensive training and an introduction to Santander CIB and its capabilities. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the Internship.

The program is for undergraduate students in a four-year program who have an anticipated graduation of May/June 2028.

Based in New York (NY), you will become part of an international business working with teams across different geographies.

Santander Investment Banking (IB) teams provide global advice to corporate clients supporting them in the execution of their strategic goals.

Whether it is raising capital for an expansion or buying another company, investment bankers provide innovative and creative financial solutions for all clients’ needs. Our bankers are focused on developing long-term relationships and crafting strategies that help our clients grow and innovate. We provide sound advice, offer clients access funding, and execute transactions, all while helping clients manage risks in today’s complex environment. We work across teams to bring comprehensive solutions to clients’ challenges, allowing them to achieve their objectives and remain competitive across global markets.

What we are looking for

  • An undergraduate student in a four-year program with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028.

  • Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above.

  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage in their leadership style.

  • Crisp communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, interacting professionally, transparently, and effectively with people at all levels.

  • Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required, foreign language skills are a plus.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Strong critical thinking with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.

  • Ability to multi-task as required.

  • Ability to work independently on special projects.

  • Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
