We are searching for the best talent for Engineering & Property Services Co-Op to be in New Brunswick, NJ.
- The Co-op term is from January to June, 2026

Purpose:
At Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we take care of all J&J buildings around the world providing end-to-end services from Real Estate, Engineering & Strategic Project Delivery to Facilities Management. We have a profound influence on the entire J&J Enterprise, providing innovative workplaces where our employees can collaborate and grow, and delivering flexible site solutions which enable our business to best serve our important customers and patients.
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Science Co-op to join our Engineering & Property Services IAP team. The Co-op is accountable for supporting the Insights, Analytics, and Planning Team (IAP) in creative problem-solver and transforming complex data into actionable insights. You will solve business challenges while developing practical skills in data science, data analytics, machine learning, and visualization.
Key relationships include regional and global leaders within the E&PS organization and project-specific business stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
- Support the development and deployment of machine learning models to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and management, to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in the development of predictive analytics and advanced modeling to support decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the documentation of data processes, algorithms, and project outcomes.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis and troubleshooting as needed to address ongoing operational questions or challenges.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analysis lifecycle.
- Provide project coordination/management support such as participation in team meetings, scheduling, taking meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
- Perform adhoc data analysis as required to gather insights and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and present project progress reports and presentations as required.
- Organize, attend, and participate in team, stakeholder, and business partner meetings.
- Coordinate and maintain the upkeep of SharePoint and Microsoft team documents.
- Support the team with adhoc requests.
- Support and participate in team and Credo activities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master´s degree in Data Science preferred, Computer Science, Computational Informatics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or Industrial), or Data Analytics.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Ability to translate data insights into impactful business recommendations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with SQL.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience working with large datasets and data management tools.
- Strong foundational knowledge of data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Software.
- Showcases knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint, ability to prepare dashboards, status reports, etc.
- A self-starter, someone that proactively takes the lead and establishes relationships.
- Effectively manages complexity with workload and business partners.
- Seeks feedback for self-improvement.
- Operates in a hybrid environment (office and virtual workspaces).

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
