Position Summary:
The Co-Op in Global Oncology Business Analytics & Forecasting actively contributes to support strategic decision-making through advanced forecasting, data analysis, and market research. This role involves close collaboration with Global Oncology Insights Leads and Global Commercial Leads to shape the development of global commercial strategies for the oncology portfolio.
Simultaneously, the Global Oncology Business Analytics & Forecasting Co-Op, is responsible for identifying and implementing innovative, industry-leading practices. The focus is on establishing effective, consistent, and impactful processes and frameworks to develop robust forecast models, perform sensitivity and scenario analyses, ensure a timely and accurate tracking of performance, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Assess and optimize current processes, tools, and resources in various functions of global business analytics
Collaborate with regional analytics teams, global data science teams, and global commercial teams, for product performance tracking and dashboards development
Support the maintenance and development of forecast models to shape long-term strategies and operational planning
Conduct sensitivity analyses and ensures the accuracy and robustness of global forecasts, establishing strategic bridge-building to regional and local insights
Explore and leverage new technologies and digital tools to enhance outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction
Gain exposure and learning opportunities across the entire portfolio
Contribute to informed decision-making and strategic development within the field of global oncology
Qualifications:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the Canada and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status now, or in the future
Candidate must be actively enrolled in an accredited University for the duration of a co-op assignment pursuing a Master’s and/or MBA.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 from an accredited university
Availability to work full time (37.5 hours/week) during the Co-op/Internship
Ability to provide transportation to/from the work location if on-site work is required (Toronto ,CA).
Passionate about data, analytics, pharmaceuticals, technology, and/or business careers
Proven track record of leading continuous process improvement initiatives
Preferably, possess 3 to 5 years of experience in the field
Demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with a keen ability to prioritize tasks
Possess a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to processes
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong presentation abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in team settings while also demonstrating the capability to work independently
Proficient in using common digital/virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
Demonstrated proficiency in technology applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and different programming languages
