What You’ll Do

As an R&D Intern, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and scientists to support product innovation and testing. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in material evaluation and new product development.

  • Designing and running experiments to provide solutions to technical challenges.

  • Leading studies in the lab, creating lab samples, and running trials to evaluate material performance.

  • Developing test procedures for current and new products.

  • Working with suppliers to stay updated on new materials and technologies.

  • Assisting with analyzing field failures and proposing preventative solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Junior standing (Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field) at a 4-year college, GPA 3.0+.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to design, carry out, and document experiments.

  • Self-starter with curiosity for innovation and product development.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

This internship provides hands-on lab and production experience, mentorship from industry experts, and the opportunity to contribute to the next generation of Viracon products.
