This internship will be 12 months in length, beginning immediately. Ideal for a recent graduate.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Investment Operations team for up to a12-month internship. This role is ideal for someone passionate about AI, data, technology, and automation in the investments industry. You will gain hands-on experience Investment Operations and develop AI-driven automation solutions, data management, and process optimization, while collaborating with multiple teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Perform financial and data analysis
Assist with management, financial statement and client reporting
Assist with pool and transfer agency oversight
Develop and implement AI-powered tools and automation solutions to optimise the operational workflows of the Investment Operations team.
Contribute to the development and support of an AI-driven operational implementation framework, helping to establish robust standards and workflows for automated processes.
Ensure thorough documentation of all newly developed automated processes, creating clear guidelines and reference materials to support ongoing maintenance, scalability, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Use programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA) to build scripts and process enhancements.
Work with Office 365 tools (Power Automate, SharePoint, Power BI) to enhance productivity.
Monitor and measure data feeds from multiple sources.
Manage and improve data quality across various investment systems.
Assist with daily/weekly/monthly reporting and automation of recurring tasks.
Assist with documenting process flows, developing procedures, and controls
What You Need to Succeed
Interest in financial services and investments industry.
Must be curious, organized, client focused, work in ambiguity, and have sound research skills.
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Finance, or related field, or a recent graduate.
Minimum of two (2) or more co-op work terms.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, VBA, or other programming languages (experience with automation frameworks is an asset).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Power BI, Power Automate).
Knowledge of investments, financial management and accounting an asset.
