This role is vital for providing the internal insights necessary to continuously improve our flagship conversational AI product, Ask-Nova.

Internship Overview

We are looking for an analytical and technically skilled student to join our team as a Full Stack Developer Intern to build our mission-critical Ask-Nova Engagement Portal. This portal will serve as the single source of truth for understanding how our users interact with our conversational AI companion. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of data visualization dashboards, ensuring a clear and performant user interface is backed by a robust, secure, and well-queried data layer.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will drive the full development lifecycle of the internal analytics portal: Frontend (Data Visualization C UX)

• Develop the web-based analytics portal using a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, Flutter Web or similar).
• Implement interactive dashboards and data visualizations (charts, graphs, heatmaps) to effectively communicate key engagement metrics (e.g., session count, intent recognition rates, average conversation length, escalation rate).
• Focus on User Experience (UX) to ensure the portal is intuitive, responsive, and allows business stakeholders to drill down into user activity logs.
  

Backend (API s Analytics Data Layer)

• Design and implement RESTful APIs (using Python with Flask/FastAPI or Node.js/Express) to serve structured analytics data from the database to the frontend.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries against our Azure SQL database to efficiently aggregate and analyze massive volumes of user conversation log data.
• Work with the team to define and structure the data schema necessary to capture meaningful metrics from the Ask-Nova conversational companion.
• Ensure data security and access controls are implemented for sensitive user activity data within the portal.

Required Qualifications

• Current Enrollment: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Full Stack Skills: Experience with both frontend (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Dart and a modern framework like React/Vue/Angular) and backend (Python/Node.js) development.
• Data C Database:

1. Strong proficiency in Advanced SQL querying and relational database concepts.
2. Experience working with large datasets for the purpose of aggregation and analytics.

• API Development: Understanding of REST API principles and experience creating APIs to serve application data.
• Visualization: Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js or similar tools) and a passion for presenting data clearly.
• Communication: Excellent ability to translate non-technical business requirements (like "we need to measure user intent accuracy") into technical implementation steps.
