The Position
Workforce Optimization / Strategies (Data Science) Intern
A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Roche.
This role is part of the Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter within the People & Culture organization. Our purpose is to enable the business to achieve its ambitious goals while anticipating and adapting to a rapidly changing environment. We elevate the way leaders shape our future workforce by providing data-driven, skills-based workforce planning solutions to the business, such as Strategic Workforce Planning. We are also developing Roche-wide innovative frameworks to support closing our gaps (e.g. expanding our internal skills by leveraging external partners). Shaping new planning solutions, creating insights and automating processes as well as working with cross-functional partners offers you great learning opportunities.
The Opportunity:
As an intern in the Workforce Optimization team for a 6-month period, you will have the opportunity to explore how data and technology drive strategic decision-making regarding our workforce. You will gain hands-on experience in areas such as External Workforce, Strategic Workforce Planning and Skills Management, learning how data-driven insights contribute to shaping the future of our workforce.
In this role, you will support various team initiatives, analyze and interpret data, and help prepare insightful reports. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of our methodologies, which play an active part in projects directly impacting our strategic goals. Collaboration is at the heart of our work, and you will partner closely with the experienced professionals in an agile environment that values empowerment, open communication and a willingness to test new ideas.
Throughout your internship, you will have the chance to apply and expand your coding skills in R, using data analysis and visualization to generate meaningful insights that support our workforce strategy. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about data analytics, people strategy, and innovation to learn, contribute, and make a tangible impact.
