The internship will take place June 1st-August 7th 2026. Interns will be scheduled to work 20-30 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is an on-site role requiring the ability to work at locations throughout the Greater Charlotte area.
Pay Range
$20.00 - $20.00This internship provides an immersive experience for students in Neurology, Psychology, or Biostatistics to explore the clinical, research, and operational aspects of a neurology department. Interns will gain exposure to neurological disorders, patient care workflows, and data-driven research initiatives.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in clinical observations of neurological assessments and procedures.
- Support research projects involving neuropsychological testing, patient outcomes, or brain imaging data.
- Collect, clean, and analyze clinical data using statistical tools and software.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings with neurologists, psychologists, and data analysts.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and literature reviews for ongoing studies.
- Contribute to patient education materials and outreach initiatives.
- Observe and document patient interactions under supervision, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Gain firsthand experience in neurological clinical practice and research.
- Understand the role of psychological and statistical analysis in diagnosing and treating neurological conditions.
- Develop skills in data management, research methodology, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Build professional relationships with healthcare providers and researchers in neurology.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Currently enrolled with a Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor's program in Neurology, Psychology, Biostatistics, or a related field.
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Current enrollment with junior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
- Grade point average of at least 2.5.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
- Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
