Meet the Team

You’ll join the Modem Systems team, a group of engineers dedicated to designing the next generation of modem algorithms that power wireless communication technologies. Our team plays a critical role in enabling connectivity for applications like Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and other low-power wireless protocols. We’re passionate about solving tough technical challenges and advancing the way devices communicate at the edge of the network.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the research, design, and simulation of modem algorithms for next-generation wireless connectivity.

  • Apply digital signal processing (DSP) and communication theory principles to real-world system design challenges.

  • Use MATLAB to model, analyze, and validate new modem concepts.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations for embedded systems.

  • Document findings, share results with the team, and propose improvements to current approaches.

Skills You Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong foundation in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Communication Theory (wireless systems preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB for algorithm development and simulation.

  • Successful completion of coursework or projects in DSP and Communication Theory.

The following qualifications will be considered a plus: 

  • Knowledge of modulation schemes such as FSK and OFDM.

  • Familiarity with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, or Z-Wave.

  • Practical programming experience with Python for data analysis or simulation support.

  • Activity in student organizations related to career interests

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $79,040 ($38/HR) to $95,680 ($46/HR) USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employeesOther components may include a sign on bonus.
