Overview of BU/Team:

Are you ready to launch your career in a dynamic and rapidly evolving global organization? Our International Risk & Control Regulatory Reporting team is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join us! This is your chance to gain experience by supporting our international issuing and acquiring businesses across 27+ countries. At International Risk & Control Regulatory Reporting, we ensure our businesses thrive with a robust first line of defense while meeting growth objectives and demonstrating an effective control framework. As an intern with us, you will join in helping our international teams manage risk, learn to respond to new regulations, and develop innovative processes. You will also build and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Learn and Do:

  • Unique opportunity to learn about the complex European Regulatory landscape and challenges across European markets for payments institutions and to learn to manage risks in a changing environment.

  • Gain experience in assessing areas of opportunity for automation to enhance efficiency, streamline existing processes, and/or eliminate non-value-added activities.

  • Accelerate implementation of automated processes and run quality checks on our European Regulatory Reports inventory.

  • Take part in end-to-end complex multi-market project management and support critical initiatives.

  • Work alongside the team to oversee regulatory reporting obligations

Desirable Qualifications/Skills and Experience/Language Requirements: 

  • Detail-Oriented and Analytical: You have excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. We are looking for someone who can dive deep into data and come up with actionable insights.

  • Critical Thinker: Your ability to think critically and assess situations from multiple angles will be crucial in navigating complex regulatory environments.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

  • Ability to grasp complex topics, identify key points from discussions, and effectively summarize them into clear and concise minutes.

  • Ability to implement technical solutions to achieve process automation.

  • Understanding data analytics. Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL would be a nice to have.

  • Collaborative: Action-oriented contribution that demonstrates a highly collaborative approach to solving problems. 

  • Self-Motivated and Adaptable: Self-motivated, self-driven and comfortable navigating and working in a complex, fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines and commitments.

  • A positive and can-do attitude is key to joining the team!

Hours: 35 hours per week 

For Recent Graduate Students:

Alongside your internship you will be enrolled on programme coordinated by Fundación Universidad Empresa (FUE). This programme will allow students to focus on productivity, adaptive management and innovation, to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, collaborating directly on the management and optimization of commercial processes. The student will develop essential skills in project management, data analysis, and negotiation, which are critical for future integration into the labor market.

To enroll the programme, the candidate must have completed the degree or due to submit the final degree project, or the final degree project plus 9 ECTS max.

For Undergraduate Students:

If you are an undergraduate or masters student, you must be in your final year of study and your university will need to agree that you can commit to 35hours per week. Please ensure you check this with your university prior to applying.
