Geotab is seeking a Support Operations Intern who is responsible for providing technical and operational support for key Change Management initiative. What you'll do:

The intern will act as the primary contact for initial troubleshooting of the internal Device Adder application, serving as a liaison between the Orders team and Tier 3 development teams.  This role will also support data analysis and process improvement by assisting with KPI tracking and running database queries, while also taking ownership of a critical knowledge base migration project to prepare for next-generation AI support tools.

The opportunity:

  • 4-8 month work-term beginning January 2026.
  • Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Act as Tier 2 support for the Device Adder by validating and performing basic troubleshooting on reported issues before escalating to the Tier 3 development team.
  • Function as a liaison between the Orders team and Tier 3 teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient resolution for issues related to the Device Adder.
  • Proactively monitor for upcoming product or system changes that could impact the Device Adder application; analyze potential impacts, prepare necessary adjustments, and report critical issues to leadership to inform business decisions and minimize customer impact.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of KPI tracking systems (e.g., Superset).
  • Assist in data analysis by running queries using tools like Google BigQuery (GBQ).
  • Review, update, and migrate over 90 internal knowledge base articles to Google Docs to ensure content is accurate and standardized for integration with an AI-powered virtual support assistant.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive transition documentation for the co-op role to ensure continuity and a scalable training process for future interns.
  • Assist with creating and updating documentation, including Support Operating Procedures (SOPs), support flows, internal FAQs, and support guides.
  • Conduct light research on best practices for support operations, partner training or integration change management.
  • Build visuals, flowcharts, or simple dashboards to communicate workflows and dependencies clearly.
  • Test new support workflows or triage decision trees and flag inconsistencies.
  • Help draft internal comms, enablement resources, or support technical troubleshooting

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate technical concepts. 
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion. 
  • Familiarity with data analysis skills, including generating database queries (GBQ, SQL, etc.). 
  • Experience with or understanding of REST APIs and SDKs; ability to troubleshoot integrations and work with multiple API specifications is a strong asset.
  • Willingness to learn and a strong work ethic and passion for technology and innovation. 
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis or automation is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is a strong asset.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
