Job Description

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Story/Newscast Producing:

• Assist with script writing and translation for broadcast
• Create graphics for broadcast
• Log sound bites
• Assignment Desk 
• Creative Story Telling  
• Content Producing 
• Social Media Editor 
• News Production 
• Field News Production
• Graphic Design

Editing:

• Edit videos for linear and digital

Digital:

• Contribute to Telemundo AZ digital content and social media accounts.
• Write and translate scripts for digital

Other Daily responsibilities and projects may include (but are not limited to):   

• Research information, assist with investigations, and source subjects for interviews and story development  
• Work closely with our consumer unit, making phone calls and interviewing viewers, alleged scammers, and government agencies  
• Upload daily stories to our website and OTT and curate content on social media properties 
• Produce breaking news under deadline and pitch original enterprise stories 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish), both written and verbal, with excellent grammar

Eligibility Requirements: 

• In pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. You must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of junior or above
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• The ability to work in person at Phoenix station

Desired skill level but not required:

• AP style writing
• Write and translate scripts for digital
• Desktop video editing
• Photoshop editing
• Interactive graphic development
• Use of a content management system for digital publication
