Software Engineer Intern
We are seeking qualified candidates for our Software Engineering intern positions. You will work within an Agile Scrum-based engineering team, gaining industry experience in how multiple Agile teams and team members interact. Our teams work on a distributed system that provides data and workflow management at a large scale to our customers, enabling engineers to focus on their jobs and not data. You will be responsible for new software development in various languages (Java, Node.js, scripting languages, etc), automating any manual testing steps, interface design, and working with and managing very large simulations on hundreds of virtual machines.
You will be expected to work as an effective team member, contribute to team decisions, and support peers closely in the software development process. We provide a great opportunity for you to learn the industry and grow into a full time engineer with the right skills and experience.
Qualifications:
- Desire to grow as an engineer and achieve at a high level
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering majors
- Graduating between December 2026 and May 2028
- Able to commit to work 3-4 consecutive semesters (Spring 2026, Summer 2026 and Fall 2026). First semester full-time (40 hours). Could work fewer hours on subsequent semesters but needs to be at least 20 hours
- Experience working in Java, Node.js, and scripting languages
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
