The role:

As a Founder’s Associate Intern, you support the Chief Research Officers & Research Strategy Manager in a wide range of strategic and operational projects, such as e.g. implementing project-management best practices, driving initiatives on boosting talent acquisition, and developing external communication toward the executive team and external stakeholders. The role offers a unique proximity to state-of-the-art GenAI research, and you will be able to work with some of the brightest scientists in the field.

You’ll contribute to a breadth of initiatives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; one week, you might be preparing reports for the board; another week, you’ll be helping facilitate our research organization's project planning and objective setting for the next quarter.

We are looking for full-time interns for a duration of 5-6 months, starting in December or January in our Heidelberg office. The position is open for gap year or end-of-study interns, with an opportunity for full-time employment afterwards.

Note: Our team will begin reviewing applications and inviting candidates to interview in the beginning of October. Nonetheless, interested candidates are encouraged to apply early.

  • Cross-department alignment: Co-design and implement processes that foster an open information exchange across departments.

  • Funding Calls: Help manage the delivery and administration of results for several publicly funded projects.

Who you are:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment such as consulting, venture capital, investment banking, high-growth startups, or similar. Alternatively, if you’ve built an impressive project or company, we’d love to hear about it in your application.

  • We welcome applicants from a wide range of educational backgrounds (incl. business, engineering, natural sciences, …). A finished Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is nice to have, but not required.

  • You are a versatile generalist who can jump on any topic and get things done.

  • You have an entrepreneurial self-starter mindset and an ability to work under uncertainty.

  • You are humble, self-aware, and a team player.

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.

Even if you don't tick all of the boxes, but you are motivated and want to work with us, you are very welcome to apply.
