Our six-week paid internship commencing January 2026 provides an enriching blend of learning and hands-on experience, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore the world of real estate. It’s designed to give you a taste of professional life and a head start on your career.

Whether you're pursuing a degree in Real Estate or studying another subject but have a strong interest in property, this internship is a great way to learn more about commercial real estate and decide if this industry—and our organisation—is the right fit for you. Exceptional performance during the internship may result in an offer to join a future graduate scheme at the location where you complete your internship.

You’ll gain practical experience by working on diverse projects, developing business skills, and learning how to advise clients on real estate matters. Expect to attend client meetings, visit sites, and collaborate with peers in your intern cohort, providing valuable networking opportunities.

During the internship, you’ll be assigned to one team within areas such as Investment and Asset Management, Capital Markets, Leasing, Valuation, Property Management, Development, or Lease Advisory.

What Does a Career in Commercial Real Estate Look Like?

A career in commercial real estate is dynamic and varied, involving a wide range of services that shape the built environment. At Cushman & Wakefield, we work with leading investors, developers, and occupiers, advising them on how to own, occupy, and manage real estate effectively.

Your work could involve finding and leasing space, advising on real estate investments, valuing properties and portfolios, strategizing workplace solutions, delivering project designs, or managing properties. You’ll work across a variety of asset types, including offices, shopping centres, warehouses, student accommodations, and build-to-rent residential properties.

The Programme:

As a Cushman & Wakefield intern, you’ll immediately contribute to the team you’re working with, bringing your unique perspectives and adding value from day one. Through project work, you’ll gain hands-on experience, build new skills, and deepen your understanding of the commercial real estate industry.

What We Expect From You:

We welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds. What matters most is your passion for commercial real estate. Successful interns typically demonstrate the following:

  • Strong self-motivation and commitment
  • A proactive approach to work
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Eligibility:

Our Commercial Internship Programme is open to students from all degree disciplines, as we value transferable skills from a variety of fields. You don’t need to be enrolled in a Society of Chartered Surveyors or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited course to apply—your interest and enthusiasm for commercial real estate are what matter most.
