Job Description:

Length of term: 4 months (Winter 2026) - January 5 to April 24, 2026

This opportunity is available to students with a April 2026 or later graduation date.

The Corporate Risk Operations Technology and EORM Office supports Risk Leadership with strategy, innovation, and financial oversight. As a Risk Analyst Co-op, you will complete various records management activities, including 2nd line risk monitoring and reporting. You will also assist with the planning and execution of various risk programs, including Townhalls, Lunch & Learns and Risk calendars and projects.

Reporting to the Director, Technology and EORM Office, the Risk Management, Co-op will have an opportunity to collaborate and gain exposure across Risk teams.

What will you do?

  • Complete various records and data management activities
  • Analysis and implementation of process improvements, including system enhancements, e.g. Archer
  • Enhancing the SharePoint site and content pages, including job aid and reporting tools
  • Assist with the planning and execution of Risk Townhalls and Lunch and Learns
  • Support risk reporting as required

What do you need to succeed?

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; preferably in systems engineering, business, finance or related discipline
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to summarize results through reporting
  • Experience in Risk Management and/or Compliance
  • Experience in process improvement and efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

What are the nice to haves?

  • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience using visualization tools, e.g., Tableau
  • Experience in SQL and Data Analytic techniques
  • Experience in emerging AI capabilities such as Copilot or MS Teams AI
  • 2-3 prior internships in project/risk management or process improvement roles

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
