Tasks & Responsibilities:
- AP – review/research invoices, obtain approvals, and entry into MS Dynamics 365
- Review and input expense reports in accordance with the company’s travel & expense policies.
- AR – monitor the outstanding invoices
- Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly closings.
- Review time sheets of all employees for general accuracy.
- Assist with reconciling accounts
- Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
- Support with ad hoc request from the Finance Department
- Support in preparation of controlling reports
- And other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Masters in Accounting.
- Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
- Self-motivated, strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent technical skills including a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power-Point, etc.).
- Must be able to work remotely (have a dedicated workspace & internet connectivity)
Physical Requirements:
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Sitting, standing, walking or mobilizing (85-95%)
- Keyboarding (80-90%)
- Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (80-90%)
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 6 hours at a time
- Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day
- Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings
- Ability to walk and stand, or mobilize, for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings
Working Conditions and Travel:
Well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Minimal overnight travel by land and air.
The compensation for this position is $25/hour, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
