Our summer internships provide talented students an opportunity to gain valuable experience by working on projects that support our business areas; and ultimately impact the national economy.
Our intern program also allows insight into the possible future entry-level positions and be exposed to several areas across the division and bank.

Regardless of which internship, all our interns experience the following:

  • Networking within the Bank and across the Federal Reserve System
  • Various events ranging from Leadership Q&As to development-oriented sessions and much more
  • Dedicated intern mentor program
  • Exposure to Bank operations and mission driven work

The following opportunities are within Data and Business Technology. These are across multiple business areas and may require enhanced background screening and or US Citizenship.

Treasury Do not Pay - This intern will rotate through different areas of DNP including outreach, operations, testing and analytics. The tasks will likely range from editing, administrative, coding, to data analyses

Product Owner - The intern will join a scrum team, working as a Jr. Product Owner or Jr. Business Analyst, participating in ceremonies, and contributing to Jira and Confluence by logging stories or updating artifacts. They will engage with stakeholders, development teammates, and shared service contacts, supporting the scrum team in meeting goals. Additionally, the intern will undertake a special project to identify and solve a problem, quantifying its impact, defining the business case, proposing solutions, and creating a strategy for requirements, development, testing, and success measurement.

SASTeC Business Analyst - Working with the SASTeC team on project management, technical, analytical support, etc. to deliver System services and support. This group supports the entire Federal Reserve System. Ability to learn technology and engineering or business analytics acumen.

Technical Asset Management - Provide administrative support for the Technology Asset Management (TAM) System, encompassing the bank's technology hardware and software inventory. Manage, update, and report on all technology assets through their lifecycle. Facilitate the collection and distribution processes for bank technology assets. Conduct audits, validations, and reconciliations of hardware and software assets against the installed asset database to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Business Technology Support - work within our Supervision, Credit & Learning division on our Information Security Compliance Team. Assist with software security reviews, access changes and content highlighting the importance of security.

 TSC and RCM Intern - The intern will be shared between the Treasury Support Center (TSC) and Revenue Collections Management (RCM) within Treasury Operations, focusing on reorganizing shared folders, documentation, and Confluence sites. They will assist with workflow improvements, contribute to reporting, training materials, and SOP updates, and identify process gaps to recommend efficiencies. Additionally, the intern will support departmental responsibilities including product management, operations, and call center functions

Statistics - Develop external facing SharePoint page for local data users to showcase information such as our function's data management services, data spotlights, data insights, data catalog, and SMB list. Assist in aligning data quality checks for line items local data users are interested in with our team's extended analysis.

SPRA/Data Science - The summer intern will engage in data projects utilizing Python and Machine Learning, focusing on foundational data science tasks and projects related to Analytics, Gen AI, and Agentic AI experimentation within the Supervision division. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of briefing materials, developing code for data requests, and contributing to the 2026 Community Banking Research Conference.
