BMW Financial Services, Farnborough - Credit Analyst - 13 Month Placement (July 2026)
What awaits you?
- Interpret financial information and key performance indicators to make prudent risk-aware lending decisions.
- Support the preparation of credit reports, including lending recommendations and conditions.
- Adhere to local and global credit risk guidelines and policy; ensure compliance in all actions.
- Authorise credit decisions within the assigned personal and team authority levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and interface partners; manage communications effectively.
- Manage the Credit Analyst mailbox, track quarterly financial information from customers, monitor for overdue conditions, and initiate appropriate actions or escalations.
What should you bring along?
- Education: A-level qualifications or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Mathematics; GCSE Math at Grade 7 or above.
- Work experience: Minimum of 2 years in banking or financial services; experience in credit assessment/underwriting of limited companies is essential.
- Industry knowledge: Experience in the motor finance industry is beneficial.
- Financial analysis skills: Ability to interpret financial information and summarize concisely; above-average numeracy; understanding of financial ratios and their implications.
- Technical skills: Proficient with Excel (including pivot tables and handling large data sets); comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
- Interpersonal and communication skills: Strong ability to communicate at all levels and build effective relationships; proactive, curious, and collaborative.
