What you’ll be doing
CIBC Investor’s Edge User Experience team is a cross-disciplinary team of UI Designers, UX Designers, Researchers and Content Designers, responsible for creating intuitive, engaging digital experiences for our clients. We collaborate closely to optimize our online and mobile properties, and as part of the UI team, you will be responsible for providing modern, visually stunning, and highly usable UI experiences and creative solutions. In this role, you will work closely with other UI designers and will collaborate with other disciplines within the User Experience team, as well as Product and Technology teams.
This role will have a hybrid work arrangement with 2-3 mandatory days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

- We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, French proficiency, MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.
- You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

- Duration of term: Winter 2026 term (January 2026 – April 2026)
- Please note, we have multiple positions available under this posting and you may be considered by more than one hiring team.
How you’ll succeed
- UI Design - Create high fidelity UI screens and components adhering to the design system, product’s experience goals, usability and accessibility standards, as well as brand guideline
- Production Delivery - Ready specs and follow the work through to implementation, you’ll be working collaboratively with key team members from various disciplines within an agile/iterative design & development environment where timely delivery is critical.
- Creativity - Use your creative thinking skill to to develop innovative and new solutions. Create protypes and presentation decks to share ideas and flows to peers and stakeholders.
- Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be put to use to communicate and advocate for design rationale effectively.
- Time Management - Manage multiple concurrent objectives, project, groups and activities, while prioritizing and allocating time effectively.
- Embrace collaboration and continuous learning – always be in the lookout for new ideas and inspire the team.
Who you are

- You show proficiency with Figma as the main design and prototyping tools. Preferred skills in video editing and motion graphics skills (Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects), and AI tools (Figma Make, Midjourney, Gemini, ChatGPT etc). Working close knowledge (CSS, HTML) is an asset.
- You're love and breathe design. You have strong visual design skills, including screen layout, composition, typography, color theory, illustration, and iconography.
