Job Summary
Work Shift
1 - First ShiftAre you a student who enjoys hands-on learning, connecting with customers, and exploring how products come to life in the field? As a Product Specialist Intern, you’ll gain real-world experience supporting product demonstrations, training events, and customer engagement activities. This internship is designed to build foundational skills that align with the full-time Product Specialist I role, offering exposure to Vermeer’s equipment, tools, and customer-first culture.What You’ll Do
1. Assist with product demonstrations at dealer sites, trade shows, and customer events, helping showcase Vermeer equipment to technical and non-technical audiences.
2. Support the development and delivery of training materials for dealer personnel and customers, including presentations and onboarding resources.
3. Help gather and organize competitive product information, market insights, and customer feedback to support sales and product strategy.
4. Respond to basic inquiries related to product operation, pricing, availability, and application, in coordination with sales and support teams.
5. Track customer interactions and event participation using tools such as Microsoft Excel or shared documents, with exposure to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
6. Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration to learn how Vermeer supports product adoption and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma required.
- Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous internship or customer-facing experience is a plus.
- Interest in operating machinery and learning how to demonstrate equipment capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-oriented mindset and a proactive attitude.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or similar tools; willingness to learn CRM platforms and data tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Travel
- Some travel may be expected depending on event schedules.
Work Location
ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.Equal Opportunity Employer
