About The Role:

Cash & Liquidity Management owns the core payments infrastructure that powers key financial operations, including deposits, withdrawals, settlements, and reconciliation. We work at the heart of the company’s payment systems, focusing on reliability, optimization, and scalability to directly impact customer experience. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with production-critical systems and collaborate on meaningful projects that drive business value. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact work while developing skills in modern financial technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Enhance Partner Settlement Reporting: Improve the structure and clarity of settlement reports for bulk funding and wallet-based partners. You'll dive into current report generation processes and propose enhancements to better meet partner and business needs
  • Optimize Payment Workflows: Streamline Modern Treasury-related workflows by improving payment order processing, enhancing the matching and display of incoming payment details, and better capturing ACH/WIRE remittance information
  • Support Other High-Impact Engineering Initiatives: Collaborate on broader team priorities, including Treasury and business operations support, and compliance-related updates such as Travel Rule and retirement account documentation
  • Contribute to System Observability: Increase system reliability and ease of debugging by expanding logging, metrics, and alerting across core payment infrastructure components

What You’ll Need/Learn

  • Software Development Experience (Java)
  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Docker)
  • Databases (DynamoDB, Postgres)
  • Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, AMQ)
  • API Design (RESTful services and OpenAPI)

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA degree with a graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028
  • Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week 
  • Must reside in NY-metro area, relocation support will not be provided
  • Must be available from Monday, June 1, 2025 to Friday, August 14, 2025

This is a full-time, in-person internship involving 40 hours per week. Deadline to apply is Friday, October 31, 2025

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.

: this role is expected to come into our office on a cadence set by the Hiring Manager/Team.
