We are seeking a Technical Program Manager intern to join our RV Cores Design and Verification team.

In this role, you will collaborate with other TPMs to support engineering teams focused on developing RISCV CPUs for industry-leading AI/ML systems and products. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by a highly experienced team of engineers and program managers across various domains of high-performance RISCV CPU development. Your responsibilities will center on supporting program execution, defining milestones and success criteria, and driving programs to completion with cross-functional teams and external partners. You’ll participate in and lead meetings, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and communicate effectively, all while approaching challenges with an open mind and a strong desire to learn. In this role, you will support the end-to-end execution of CPU life cycle program plans, track quality metrics, drive strategic stakeholder engagement, and foster leadership across hardware, software, customer, data, and partner teams.

This role is on-site based in Austin, TX; or Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Support program management for a high-performance CPU design

  • Assist in project coordination and documentation using Jira dashboards, tickets, and Confluence

  • Help create infrastructure and processes to enable collective informed decisions and promote innovation

  • Define and track clear goals, priorities, and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall Tenstorrent's corporate goals

  • Provide programmatic guidance and foster a culture of execution within cross-functional teams

  • Monitor and improve project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure our AI and Compute solutions remain at the forefront of the industry

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field

  • Programming, scripting and web/app development experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks

  • Clarity in thought, reasoning and structured system design approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Exceptional at staying organized and on top of things

  • Experience and devising metrics, roadmaps, dashboards and preparing presentations is a valuable plus

  • Familiarity with managing complex project schedules and nurturing cross-group collaboration

  • Willing to observe, ingest feedback, learn and adapt

 

Compensation for all interns at Tenstorrent ranges from $50/hr - $70/hr including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
