Job Title: Intern – Integrated Supply Chain Engineer
Location: Waterford, Ireland
Role Type: 12-month Graduate internship
Job Summary:
As an Integrated Supply Chain Engineer Intern at Honeywell, in Waterford, you will be responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes and systems to enhance production efficiency and product quality. This role involves analysing production workflows, designing process improvements, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of manufacturing operations under the watchful eye of experienced professionals.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell. This internship is set up for 12 months and will be for a bachelor’s graduate in 2025, with a potential opportunity for a permanent role after said internship.

Key responsibilities:
You will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:
- Assist senior engineers to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality and utilise Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to identify and eliminate waste within production processes. Support/Lead Kaizen events to reduce internal PPM.
- Support manufacturing operations by addressing issues that impact efficiency or product quality. Collaborate with production teams to analyse process performance and recommend corrections or improvements. Support/Lead small improvement projects associated with product scrap reduction/rework.
- Support deployment/development of standard operating sheets and standard combination sheets. Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Evaluate and recommend manufacturing equipment, tools, and technologies to enhance production capabilities. Participate in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment, ensuring proper integration into the production process.
- Support the deployment of key plant projects. Work closely with manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to streamline processes and support product development initiatives.
- Assist with the development of training programs and materials for production staff regarding process changes, safety protocols, and new technologies.
Key skills and qualifications:
- A 2025 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical skills and a foundational understanding of engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office
- Business level written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Can commute with ease to our Dublin office
