About the position
The Workforce Development Intern will play a key role in supporting initiatives that strengthen the talent pipeline through apprenticeship programs, technical education partnerships, military outreach, and internal technical training efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in workforce strategy, community engagement, and program coordination, contributing directly to the development of a skilled and diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Apprenticeship Program Support
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of Gulfstream apprenticeship programs.
- Support outreach efforts to local high schools, technical colleges, and community organizations to promote apprenticeship opportunities.
- Help maintain documentation and reporting for compliance and performance metrics.
Technical School & Military Outreach
- Participate in outreach activities with technical schools, trade programs, and military transition offices.
- Help organize career fairs, information sessions, and site visits to promote workforce development programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with educational and military partners to support recruitment and engagement.
Technical Training Support
- Assist in the development of technical training materials and sessions.
- Support logistics for training events and participant tracking.
- Help evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and feedback collection.
General Workforce Development Support
- Conduct research and compile data on workforce trends, skills gaps, and training needs.
- Assist with internal communications and promotional materials related to workforce initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for workforce development projects and meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in workforce development, education, or community engagement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Enrolled as a full-time student at time of application, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above.
- Complete their freshman year by the time the internship starts.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
- Minimum 12-14 week requirement (summer); 14-16 week requirement (spring and fall).
- Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
- Must have reliable transportation.
