This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to participate in Mission Systems’ Summer Engineering Project Program. Primary assignments and responsibilities will include requirements capture, ASIC / FPGA digital architecture and design using RTL, verification, and system integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs applied to signal processing and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Product Enabling Technologies team.
What You Will Do:
- You will support requirements capture and ASIC / FPGA digital architecture
- You will implement ASIC / FPGA digital design using RTL
- You will support verification and system integration of ASIC / FPGA implementations
- RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
What You Will Learn:
- Agile development flow for planning work
- General algorithms and sequencing for modern Signal-in-Space (SiS) waveforms
- A variety of development flows (i.e., CPU, RPU, GPU, AI engines, FPGA fabric)
- Design of experiments to collect throughput and power utilization data
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Vivado, Vitis, Quartus, Modelsim, or other FPGA-specific tools)
- Experience with AMD/Xilinx development boards, Red Hat 8, TCL scripting, CSH scription
- Some background in digital signal processing (DSP) and/or information assurance
- Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink)
- Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion)
