Job Mission:
The New Balance eCommerce Assistant Merchant Co-Op is responsible for supporting the Merchandise Manager of Apparel & Accessories in the daily needs of the business for both Apparel & Accessories on Newbalance.com. The Assistant Merchant Co-Op will assist in managing product lines for sales, margin, supply chain and exceeding customer expectations. The Assistant Merchant Co-Op will be responsible for ad hoc reporting and analysis, market research via comp shopping and/or EDITED insights tools, hardmark entry support, as well as daily style scheduling support. The Assistant Merchant Co-Op communicates with cross-functional partners for image, copy & inventory readiness, and any other ad hoc communication needs under the direction of the Merchandise Manager. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would possess a desire to learn new ideas/concepts regularly, want to learn analytics and how to use them to influence business decisions, have an ability to work independently as well as cross functionally with many teams and perform in a digital environment with strict attention to detail. This role reports into the Merchandise Manager and is part of the North American eCommerce team.
Job Responsibilities:
- With direction from the Merchandise Manager, conduct market research, gather industry data, track trends, themes and competitive shopping to assist with item selection
- Aid in managing key launch date readiness tracking, monitoring supply ETA’s and raising flags to Merchandise Manager, Merchants, Planners and Site Teams when any delays/issues arise that could negatively impact an on-time launch
- Partner with Site Experience and Marketing teams to proof all collateral to ensure content is correct and reflects in stock items, inclusive of email proofs and clicking through linking destinations
- Review competitors shopping experiences to identify trends, new product ideas, notable presentations, pricing discrepancies, choice counts v. the newbalance.com site
- Submit and manage any IT and Ops tickets. Work with those teams on system or product errors seen or improvements needed
- Process price changes and any inventory transactions needed
Qualifications:
- Strong fashion/trend acumen
- Proactive/self-starter attitude to solve problems and win at all levels
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
- Ability to work independently
- Able to multi-task priorities
- Financial / Analytical interest & acumen
- Exposure to Adobe or Google Analytics preferred

Flexible Work Schedule
