Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a BS, or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field. You must be enrolled in studies for the full duration of the internship. Knowledge of a scripting / programming language Collaboration and communication skills English language fluency (verbal and written) Sival: Good fundamentals in analog mixed signal circuitries Sival: Familiar with lab equipment like multimeter, power supplies, real-time scope and spectrum analyzer DV: Basic understanding of integrated circuit design
Preferred Qualifications
SiVal: Basic practical experience in laboratory measurements SiVal: Basic understanding of power management topologies (LDO, Buck and Boost converter, Power Switch) SiVal: Some knowledge of measurement automation in Python or an equivalent language DV: Familiarity with Verilog / Verilog-AMS / SystemVerilog
Description
Silicon Validation: The PMU Silicon Validation (SiVal) Team has an opportunity for a talented Engineer to validate new PMU chips for Apple's newest products. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers in various measurement tasks. Our main focus is on carrying out measurements in a fully automated measurement setup in our SiVal Lab and then comparing the results against the specifications for the PMU. Design Verification: Through mentorship, you will develop verification components, create test plans, and engage closely with members of cross-functional disciplines to gain practical experience in building a power management IC. Role and responsibilities: - Verification of sub-circuits against specification - Definition of verification plans to ensure coverage of specified features - Analysis of simulation results and debugging designs - Active participation in cross functional collaboration - Writing behavioural/functional models for sub-blocks
