The Legal Intern will learn and obtain legal experience by providing legal research assistance, assisting with legal projects, and preparing forms and drafts for multiple attorneys in the Legal Services Department.

  • Current law student (or recent graduate prior to passing the bar exam) at an accredited law school who has completed, at a minimum, the first year of law school with passing grades. Preference given to second and third year law students.
  • Currently eligible to sit for the Oklahoma State Bar upon completion of Law School.
  • Ability to operate standard office machines, including, but not limited to, word processor, typewriter, calculator, copier, fax machine. 
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to perform legal research, including ability to use WestLaw.
  • Prior experience working in a legal setting preferred.
  • This job requires the operation of a personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned).  Therefore, Legal Intern must have a current Oklahoma State Drivers License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to INTEGRIS and its insurance carrier. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
The Legal Intern's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Provides research assistance and drafts memoranda.
  • Prepares forms and drafts documents and correspondence as directed by attorneys within the department.
  • Assists with providing legal services under the direct supervision of an attorney within the department.
  • Attends and observes meetings, court procedures, and other corporate functions.
  • Proofreads and corrects prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content.
  • Receives guidance, training and mentoring from attorneys within the department in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Performs other job duties as requested by departmental attorney or Director of Legal Services, consistent with qualifications.
