Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA’s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Elite Support is a collaborative initiative between Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) and its dealer network, designed to elevate the customer experience through a culture of continuous improvement. The program focuses on delivering exceptional service, efficient operations, and consistent best practices across all certified locations. Elite Support relies on strong engagement, rigorous standards, and the ability to evolve through ongoing training, process enhancements, and innovation. The intern for the Elite Support program will focus on continuous improvement initiatives and support process improvement projects that drive long-term impact.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $29 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design, refine, and organize training materials.
  • Assist in creating presentation decks, learning guides, and digital content for workshops and webinars.
  • Create strategy for engagement of existing network tools.
  • Improve and emphasize a customer-focused culture across the organization.
  • Support the documentation and refinement of core Elite Support processes.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives that improve operational efficiency, communication, and dealer engagement.
  • May support development of training and/or change management materials and activities to support new processes and procedures, including department SmartSheet / Teams Channel.
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June) 
  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Creative mindset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment 
  • Creative, self-driven, and eager to learn in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with MS Office, Smartsheet, or visual communication tools preferred
  • Experience being a group or project lead preferred
  • Experience or familiarity with Continuous improvement / Lean / Agile / Six Sigma preferred
  • Experience or familiarity with continuous education, learning practices, curriculum development or design preferred
  • Experience or familiarity with tools such as: SmartSheet, Articulate, Training software, Altryx, Tablaeu, or MailChimp preferred
