Who are we looking for?
At GHD we are looking for a new Learning Intern to join the Learning team at our Houston, TX office. In this role you will support various projects aimed at enhancing our training and development programs. You will collaborate with team members to develop resources, refresh training materials, and create engaging learning experiences.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Document Preparation: Prepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.
- HR Data Management: Carry out a wide range of HR data processing tasks as directed; advise other colleagues and provide guidance on processes when needed.
- Learning Needs Analysis: Support the identification of learning needs by analyzing performance and competence data to identify gaps in relation to required levels.
- Learning and Development (L&D) Program Delivery: Deliver training sessions or short courses, engaging, advising, and guiding learners and evaluating the achievement of intended learning outcomes.
- Information and Business Advice: Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.
- Learning and Development (L&D) Program Design: Design a technical training or instruction session and develop and maintain relevant high-quality training resources to ensure the achievement of specified learning outcomes.
- Development Center Design and Delivery: Contribute to the creation of development centers; tailor preexisting exercises and feedback and development planning processes and tools; draft new content as directed; draft documentation.
- HR Data Analytics and Insights: Support in delivering analyses of HR data and identifying trends to contribute to the creation of HR insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues, enhancement of employee engagement, and/or improvement of business performance.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals.
What you will bring to the Team
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Psychology or equivalent Bachelor's or Master’s degree program
Experience
- General Experience: Basic experience of simple office / operational systems (4 to 6 months)
