BWE Agency Analytics Internship

BWE provides capital to owners of all types of commercial real estate.Our primary sources of capital in the multifamily sector are Fannie Maeand Freddie Mac. In2025, BWE will originateover$4billionof debt that will be sold to these firms.Our Agency Analytics team supports these efforts by working with our producers nationwide, analyzing new investment opportunities, structuringcapital options, presenting transactions to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and negotiating financing terms. The summer internship is designed to introducestudentsto the multifamily industry and explore how capital drives investment in communities.

InternshipGoals - (What you can expect!)

1.Fundamental analysis of a multifamily transaction, including how we analyze property income and expenses, ultimately leading to a valuation.
2.Gain an understanding of the roles played by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the multifamily sector.
3.Learn about the various property types financed by Fannie/Freddie:

- Conventional
- Affordable housing
- Manufactured housing communities
- Seniors housing
- Student housing

4.Learn the basics of our Excel loan sizing model. Be able to input financial statements and rent roll data.
5.Tourlocalpropertiesof varying classes and vintages.
6.Support the analyst team in creation of transaction summaries.
7.Participate in deal clearance calls, Agency Analytics team calls and weekly production calls

8.Participate in the Future Housing Leaders summer program(as available)
9.Complete theMortgage Bankers Association classes.
10.Participate intheVirtual Intern Networking Sessions
11.Participate intheInternal Speaker Series
12.Prepare an investmentsummary as a capstone project
