Role description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic AI Platform Development Intern to join our team. This unique internship will focus on a critical area of AI: understanding and implementing mechanisms to control and secure the data used to generate interactions with AI models.

The primary objective will be to research, analyze, and propose solutions for data governance, privacy, and security within our AI ecosystem. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about the intersection of AI, data security, and responsible technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research into current best practices and emerging technologies for data control, access management, and security in AI platforms.
  • Analyze the lifecycle of data used by AI models (especially Large Language Models), identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas for improved security.
  • Investigate methods for secure data ingress, egress, storage, and processing specifically for AI training and inference.
  • Explore techniques for monitoring and auditing data usage within AI interactions to ensure compliance and prevent misuse.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand existing AI platform architecture and data flows.
  • Contribute to the development of proof-of-concept implementations or prototypes for proposed data control and security features.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and technical specifications for data security enhancements.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with preferred options in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience or strong interest in Java programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their architecture.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Optional:

  • Understanding of AI model generation, training, and tuning processes.
  • Basic understanding of data security principles, encryption protocols, and authentication/authorization mechanisms is a plus.
  • Python programming for AI/ML development.
