Our Service Department is growing and we are looking for Apprentice Technicians who are interested in starting or continuing their career in automotive. Minimum of 1-2 years of lube tech experience is preferred but not required as we are willing to train individuals who are coachable and driven: eager and willing learn, and motivated to do more and produce more and grow with the company!

• · Pay Range: $17-$20 per hour depending on experience
• · Schedule: Must have open availability to work Monday through Saturday
• · Hours: Flexible shifts 7-4 / 8-5 / 9-6
• · Service Department is Open: M-F from 7-6 and Saturdays 7-5

Boise Ford offers an apprenticeship program like no other: Apprentice Technicians start in the Quick Lube to learn our processes, how to perform service efficiently and accurately in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards, after 3-6 months (and depending on productivity and performance) and with the proper tools, the Apprentice Tech is paired up with a Master Technician for a 2-year mentorship program. Additional earning potential upon successful completion of the mentorship program to be discussed at time of interview with Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities:

As an Automotive Lube Technician you will perform vehicle maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

• · Perform minor maintenance, e.g., changing engine oil and filters.
• · Perform complete vehicle maintenance inspection including tires, brakes, and all fluid levels.
• · Communicate appropriate customer vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations to the service advisor liaison.

Qualifications:

• · Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
• · Experience as an express/quick lube technician preferred.
• · Operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• · Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• · A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
• · Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
