Carillon is recruiting for a hospitality focused Senior Residency & Sales Counselor to join our team!
The Senior Residency & Sales Counselor is responsible for representing the community to prospective residents and driving occupancy through individual sales performance. This position focuses on lead management, providing personalized tours, and maintaining relationships to support occupancy and sales goals. The Senior Residency and Sales Counselor works collaboratively with the sales team to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve budgeted performance, and promote the community's offerings. This position also serves as the trainer and mentor for less experienced sales staff.
1st Year Expectation: $68,200 (Base determined by experience + Commissions + Bonuses)
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Marketing Sales Counselor:
- Sales and Lead Management
• Respond promptly to inquiries to ensure speed to lead.
• Conducts experiences (tours) of the community to demonstrate how the community can meet the specific needs of the customer by providing a personal experience. Identify when different department heads are needed for tours and ensure schedules are coordinated effectively to meet the prospective resident’s needs.
• Clearly articulates fee structures in a manner that reflect the benefits of prospective residents’ choices. Explains the physical and financial assessment processes to prospects and helps coordinate any necessary interviews.
• Follow up with prospective residents and families regularly to address concerns and provide updates.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions in Salesforce.
• Utilize LCS ExSell training checklist and apply SalesFIRST Sales Standards in the sales process.
- Marketing and Outreach Support
• Identify and participate in marketing events, open houses, and special activities to promote the community.
• Coordinate and prepare for events, including set-up, guest registration, and providing tours.
• Distribute marketing materials and provide information to prospective residents and referral sources.
- Customer Service
• Provide personalized, compassionate, and professional support to prospective residents and families during the decision-making process.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate a smooth move-in experience for new residents.
• Address and escalate questions or concerns to the Director, Marketing and Sales as needed.
- Administrative Duties
• Prepare reports and track sales metrics as directed by the Director of Marketing & Sales.
• Mentor and train less experienced sales staff.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of customer service, sales, or administrative experience required, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn Salesforce software.
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
• Must possess personal driving record consistent with the requirements of the Driver Selection Policy
• Doctor’s statement verifying free from communicable disease, if applicable in your state.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
• The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
• Ability to take initiative and direction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and conduct presentations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn Salesforce software.
• Positive, empathetic attitude and a genuine desire to assist seniors and their families.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• A desire and ability to relate to and continue learning about the senior population Must be self-disciplined, driven, able to demonstrate initiative, maintain confidentiality, competitive, attentive to details, persistent, and personable
• Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community.
