Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Intern for a 2026 summer internship that offers a unique blend of Applications Engineering and Product Sales Data Analysis experience. In this role, you'll support our engineering and sales teams by helping customers apply our products effectively in real-world scenarios while also analyzing product usage and sales performance to inform business and engineering decisions. This internship is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving technical problems, working with cross-functional teams, and translating data into actionable insights. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to customer applications, technical support, and product performance evaluation—bridging the gap between engineering and market impact.
- Assist in evaluating customer requirements and recommending suitable product solutions based on technical specifications.
- Support the engineering team in preparing technical documentation, performance data sheets, and product application notes.
- Work with customer support and sales teams to troubleshoot technical issues and provide engineering guidance.
- Help develop and maintain tools (e.g., sizing calculators, product comparison charts) that assist in product selection and application optimization.
- Participate in customer calls or internal product training sessions to better understand application challenges and use cases.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and technical reviews.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to interpret customer feedback and support product strategy decisions.
- Develop dashboards or reports (e.g., in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools) to support product decision-making.
- Support cross-functional initiatives such as new product launches, pricing strategy reviews, and market segmentation analysis.
- Analyze historical product sales data to identify trends, seasonality, and product performance.
- Assist in preparing reports on product line performance across different markets or customer segments.
Qualifications
- Junior / Senior in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Strong interest in application engineering, technical sales support, and real-world product usage.
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electromechanical systems and their practical applications.
- Comfortable analyzing and presenting data in Excel or similar tools; familiarity with BI platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A self-starter with attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
