USI Consultants, Inc. is currently seeking a Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Community Planning Co-Op to join our team in our Indianapolis office in 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Site inventory and analysis
- Concept development and sketch diagrams
- Digital rendering of draft and final concepts
- Design documentation and detailing
- Development of public outreach materials including surveys, public workshops, design charrettes, presentations, and public information meetings
- Preparing draft text and document templates for various reports and public plans
- Prepares and maintains project records in accordance with the company’s, client’s, and government’s standards.
- Other related duties, as assigned
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
- High School Diploma required
- Working towards a degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Regional and Community Planning.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-starter who is not afraid to take risks but is also willing to value others’ ideas and experience.
- Desire to learn, grow, and feel personally challenged to create inspired work across many different project scales and with a variety of clients.
- Ability to simplify complex and challenging community conditions into simple and understandable design and planning recommendations.
- Ability to graphically represent ideas and concepts using hand drawn and digital techniques.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, ArcGIS, Vector Works Landmark, and AutoCAD.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills including the ability and desire to compose written reports.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
