We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our ICSP Consumables Department. This role involves working in a high-volume, high-complexity environment, focusing on the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems to enhance our production processes.

How will you make an impact?
Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the production of ICSP consumables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for automation systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of automated systems and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to automation and manufacturing processes.
- Provide training and support to production staff on the use and maintenance of automated systems.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and integrate relevant innovations into our processes.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in automation engineering, preferably in a high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, HMI, SCADA, and industrial networks.
- Experience with CAD software and electrical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automation and manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the ICSP consumables industry or a similar high-complexity manufacturing environment.
- Certification in automation technologies or related fields.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Start Date:This internship is set to begin on either May 11th or June 15th, 2026 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.
Compensation & Relocation:Our internships offer an hourly rate between $28.50 - $35 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $22.50–$38.50.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
