Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of GE Vernova’s global operations. This cross-functional leadership position will empower you to drive transformative change by prioritizing and solving critical business challenges using our established project management tollgate process, customer insights, and business improvement goals centered around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

In response to significant planned capacity growth and major construction projects scheduled for the next strategic period, this internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the expansion and modernization of our operational footprint. Beyond supporting operational growth, you will help advance our ambitious sustainability targets, ensuring that new facilities and retrofits align with our environmental commitments.

Key highlights of this project include:

Strategic Kaizen Events - Two major Kaizen events will be held by the end of 2025 to develop a standard work framework that guides decisions on construction, retrofits, and leased facilities, ensuring alignment with both capacity growth and sustainability objectives. You will have the opportunity to review the deliverables from these Kaizen events and contribute to the development of the execution plan.

Pilot Construction Projects - Operationalize the developed framework in early 2026 through pilot projects, capturing essential lessons learned to refine and finalize the “Greenfield Playbook”—the future enterprise-wide standard for supply chain network development.

Sustainability Integration - Integrate advanced specification and performance metrics into the Greenfield Playbook, enhancing energy efficiency for total building performance and supporting our sustainability commitments.

This internship provides unparalleled exposure to large-scale, high-impact initiatives and offers significant responsibility and oversight. You will gain hands-on experience deploying project tollgate methodologies and have direct involvement in refining enterprise standards for supply chain development.

Project Outcomes:

While implementing the Greenfield Playbook in pilot projects, provide guidance to enhance the playbook by incorporating execution-based learning points. The key outcomes are as follows:

Operationalization Through Pilot Projects: Deployment and validation of the developed framework (via two strategic Kaizen events) during initial pilot construction projects in early 2026, allowing for real-world testing and refinement.

Refinement and Finalization of the Greenfield Playbook: Integration of lessons learned from pilot projects to finalize a practical and effective Greenfield Playbook, which will become the enterprise-wide standard for supply chain network development at GE Vernova.

Incorporation of Sustainability Metrics: Embedding advanced building performance specifications and energy efficiency metrics into the Greenfield Playbook, directly contributing to the achievement of the company’s sustainability commitments.

Enhanced Process and Methodology: Establishment of robust project tollgate processes and standard work methodologies for supply chain development, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment across future projects.

Primary Skills Developed:

This internship provides a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in project management, process development, and cross-functional collaboration, with the opportunity to influence enterprise standards and gain valuable professional skills.

Cross-Functional Leadership - Direct involvement in strategic projects that define how GE Vernova transforms and operates globally.

Project Management & Execution - Opportunity to work alongside experienced project owners and cross - functional teams. A chance to leave a lasting impact on the enterprise while developing valuable project management and operational skills.
